Norway’s nature enchants with its beauty, especially in winter. Hindsæter has well-marked trails in the wilderness, for everyone. Experience fresh mountain air and a silence rarely found in Europe and meet one of the largest forest animals, the elk. In February and March, there is a good chance to see them. You can also look forward to an ice hike through the Sjoa Gorge, sledging fun and the daily sauna session.
The small historic Hindsæter Hotel, built in 1898, has a stunning view over the valley and Jotunheimen National Park. You stay in unique and romantic Alp suites/Summerfarm suites, furnished with historical and new interiors in old farm style, wooden tables from the local woods, elk- and reindeer antlers and comfy chairs with reading lamps. In the evening you are welcome to enjoy the view and find inspiration in the mountain library, by the fireplace or in the mountain spa with saunas and a jacuzzi.
